Donate today and help us give the gift of light

Our goal: In 30 days, we will raise $13 for each person in the Abada Community in Ethiopia (population ~2,000) to fund a solar energy system that will fuel their village 365 days a year.

Electricity is one of the biggest impediments to progress and education in Africa. Today, in the Abada village, there is no electricity. This solar system will be life-changing for 650 primary school, grades 5-8, and will serve as a source of power for the entire community.

With your help, we will be a catalyst for progress. Our work will empower:

  • Kids to have access to the Internet to aid their education
  • Adults to have electricity for night classes and workforce training
  • People to charge cell phones and computers to conduct business and stay connected
  • Everyday necessities at home, like a stove to cook on, food refrigeration and a lamp to read under
  • Street lights to create a safer community for women and children

All donation amounts are appreciated. $13 will light up a life. $78 will bring light to a family. $390 will support a classroom. $1,300 will help 100 people. $18,000 will light a classroom for 20 years.

We invite you to help us—whether it’s by helping to spread the word, in-kind support, or individual and business donations. Discover your unique contribution to this world.
